HOW DO I USE THE COLOURS?

HOW TO I USE THE COLOURS?

We recommend mixing the colour powders with dry ingredients before hydrating.

Or, for a pre-made frosting, mix a very small amount of water (approx. ¼ tsp liquid to 1 packet) to make a paste, so the colours blend easily.

Amount: 1-2 colour packets per 570ml of frosting.

REFRESH POWDERS INSTANTLY WITH A COUPLE DROPS OF WATER.

If blending a liquid recipe, or in a food processor, you may add the colour powders directly into the recipe after testing a small amount to ensure the colour will dissolve thoroughly.

HEAT AND NATURAL COLOURS

Natural colours can be heat sensitive and start to fade at 200-250 degrees C, resulting in more pastel colours. When working with heated recipes, like a gummy sweets, mix colours into a liquid first and then add into the cooling phase for maximum colour vibrancy.

For cakes and other larger portion baked goods, a recipe with a shorter bake time or lower heat is recommended.
